Dear USU friends,

This year I have the lucky opportunity to work alongside the SAAVI office to organize the annual Walk-A-Mile In Her Shoes.  Every April guys from Utah State as well as the surrounding community put on high heel shoes and walk one mile around campus showing that they are taking a stand against gender and sexual violence within the community.

The old adage states, "You can't understand a person's experiences until you walk a mile in her shoes".  Although guys walking around in heels is a humorous application of the saying, it helps us to better reach out and educate the members of our community on a serious topic.

My goal this year is to have more guys walk than ever before.  Don't feel left out girlies, we could also use your help!  Girls can volunteer to be blister sisters and walk alongside the guys during one of the four walks, you can help run a booth or even help get the guys outfitted in heels.

BUT, I need your help to spread the word!

If you could get on your facebook account and search for The USU SAAVI Office.  Once you get to their page click on [Events].  Then RSVP to the event titled Walk A Mile In Her Shoes.

Now for the important part, please, please, please invite all your facebook friends that attend USU!

If you have any questions about getting involved, about SAAVI, Walk-A-Mile or anything please leave a comment for me.

Thank you so much for your help!

Kelsey
