When I go Climbing This is What Happens

I went climbing again today, I rocked it out!  Oh baby did I have an awesome time.  The wall was beautiful, not too hard, but high enough to make you feel so good about yourself for making it to the top.

Anyway...

Oh the way up the canyon I kept thinking that I must remember to leave my phone in the car.  The thought came to me over and over again to LEAVE YOUR PHONE IN THE CAR!  Well, I forgot to leave my phone in the car... silly me.

The hike up to the wall was fairly steep and conditions were perfect for cute little cell phones to jump out of jacket pockets and nestle themselves in the loose rocks.  When I got to the top of the hike and we were setting up for the climb I realized that my phone in fact was not in my pocket any longer.  For some reason I was completely okay with it.  Weird, I know!  I figured that my phone wasn't going anywhere and that if someone found it that they would keep it safe for me.  I climbed first and then belayed Sara.  After that I figured that it might be nice if I went to look for my phone.  I made the trek down to the car taking a slightly different path in order not to cover my beloved cell phone with loose gravel and rocks.  I got to the car, peaked inside and of course my phone isn't there.

As I hiked up to the wall searching desperately for my phone not seeing it anywhere in front of me and nowhere off to the side of the path I decided to say a pray.  Pray, pray, pray, "amen".  I look up and there is my cute little pink cell phone perched on a rock in a position that didn't look it would be possible for it not to slip down the mountain.  And best of all the screen was facing up... no scratches at all!

Of course I felt it necessary to go to a secluded place and thank my father in heaven for helping me find my phone and for keeping it safe and out of harms way.  Some may say that I would have eventually found it on my own, or that the Lord doesn't care about your cell phone because he has bigger things to help people with.

I know that the only reason I found my cell phone is because I prayed, I know that the Lord does care about me and the things that matter to me.  Today I learned a lesson.  I learned that when the spirit tells you to leave the cell phone in the car that you should do that, but I learned a more important lesson as well.  The Lord does hear and answer our prayers no matter how small or insignificant they may seem.

Hooray for prayer! Isn't it funny how something like that can seem so simple, but really is such a great reminder? The church is totally true.

I agree so much! God listens to every prayer, not just the huge ones.

AMEN TO THAT! Thanks for your comment on my blog! I notice you are friends with Elise, that is neat, because she is neat and therefore you must be neat.
